Higgsfield lists a starting price of $19 a month. That number is real, but it is also close to useless, because Higgsfield does not sell you videos. It sells you credits, and credits are where the actual cost hides.

Higgsfield has three paid individual tiers. Annual billing is cheaper per month but you pay the whole year up front, and the discounted rate is a promo that only applies to the first year.

What a credit actually buys
This is the part the pricing page makes you work for. A credit is worth roughly 4 to 5 cents depending on your plan. Here is what common generations cost, in credits and in real dollars at the Plus monthly rate (about $0.049 per credit).

So a $59 Plus plan with 1,200 credits gets you roughly 53 Seedance 2.0 clips, or about 600 Nano Banana Pro images, or some mix. Higgsfield's own plan cards say the same thing. The gap between the $19 sticker and the work you actually want to do is where people get surprised.
The catch nobody mentions
Subscription credits do not roll over. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. If you pay for Plus and only burn 400 credits in a month, the other 800 vanish. This is the single most important line in the fine print, and it is the reason the effective cost per clip is often higher than the math above for light users.
A few more rules worth knowing before you subscribe:
- Top-up credit packs expire 90 days after purchase and only work while you have an active subscription.
- The free tier has zero monthly credits and adds a visible Higgsfield watermark to everything it generates. Any paid plan removes the watermark on new generations.
- The pricing page lists "Commercial use: Not included" on the Free plan, while the Terms of Use grant commercial rights more broadly. If commercial use matters to you, treat it as a paid feature and do not rely on the free tier.
- Refunds are only available within 7 days and only if you have used zero credits.
Which plan is actually cheapest for you
- Just testing: stay on Free, accept the watermark, and use the small number of promo generations. Do not buy a plan to try the product.
- A few clips a week: Starter at $19 is enough if you stick to the cheaper models (DoP, Kling). It runs out fast on Veo.
- Regular production work: Plus at $59 is the first tier where the per-credit price drops enough to matter.
- Heavy daily output: Ultra, but only if you will actually use 3,000 credits a month, because what you do not use, you lose.
